The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamm scores with a three punch combo!
Hamm dives in for a single leg takedown but Batista sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Batista throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Hamm is trying to break free.
Batista manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hamm jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Batista walks away with a smile on his face. Hamm gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Batista looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Batista fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hamm, pushing him back against the cage.
Batista pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Hamm trying to control the position but instead, Batista has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hamm into the cage.

Batista lands an elbow that stopped Hamm in his tracks for a moment.

It looks like Edward Hamm has been cut.
Hamm working hard to break the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Batista throws an elbow that misses.
Hamm tries to land knees in the clinch but Batista avoids the damage to the body.
Hamm dodges an elbow strike from Batista.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

The cut above Edward Hamm's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hamm is trying to force a seperation but Batista has the dominant position.
Batista looks to throw an elbow but misses.
A frustrated look appears on Hamm's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Batista lands an elbow that stopped Hamm in his tracks for a moment.

Edward Hamm's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Edward Hamm's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
