The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sax looks for a takedown but Dewayne sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dewayne is defended easily by Sax.
Sax throws a right and a left that Dewayne avoids nicely.
Sten Sax seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sax lands a jab to Dewayne's midsection.
Sax tries to bum rush Dewayne with a series of wild strikes but Dewayne uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dewayne changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sax tries to avoid it but Dewayne manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sax to the ground. Sax escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sax leaves Dewayne with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sax rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dewayne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dewayne dives in for a single leg takedown but Sax sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sax.

Dewayne tries to score a body lock takedown but Sax shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Sax wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dewayne has him pressed against the cage.
Sax wants to get back to striking at distance but Dewayne won't allow it.
Dewayne keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sax's efforts to push away.
Dewayne drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sax pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sax steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Dewayne is out on his feet! Sax sets himself and nearly takes Dewayne's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
