Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Homer Cox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brotiz Bruttz! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruttz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cox on his heels. He'll look to pass Cox's guard now, I'm sure. Bruttz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cox could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bruttz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cox is on top in guard.

Bruttz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cox is looking to improve his position.

Bruttz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cox haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Bruttz with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. We've been informed that Bruttz has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Bruttz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bruttz with a nice head shot there. Bruttz wants to pass the guard but Cox is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bruttz wants to control from the top but Cox keeps moving. Bruttz landing with the ground and pound. Bruttz postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Brotiz Bruttz dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bruttz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bruttz throws a strike but Cox rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Bruttz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cox is one step ahead there. Bruttz isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cox stacks Bruttz on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cox! Bruttz is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Brotiz Bruttz has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cox throwing shots but missing, from side control. Bruttz is looking to reverse the position. Bruttz is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cox is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Bruttz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bruttz has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cox with good strikes from the mount here! Bruttz is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Bruttz manages to regain half guard. Good work. Bruttz has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Cox is on him like a limpet, forcing Bruttz back against the cage. Bruttz has Cox pressed against the cage, preventing Cox from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Cox is rocked! Bruttz looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Oh Cox is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bruttz drops an elbow to the side of Cox's head. Bruttz lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Cox! More strikes land and this one is all over! Bruttz jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
