Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fredrick Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Snooka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Snooka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fredrick Salazar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Snooka! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salazar misses with the combination.
Salazar throws a right hand that Snooka ducks under and follows up with a left that Snooka also avoids with ease. Nice sprawl there from Salazar as Snooka shoots in. Salazar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Snooka was covering up waiting for the punch and Salazar finishes the takedown easily into guard. Snooka wants to stand and escape but Salazar is having none of it. Salazar's corner is telling him to maintain position. Snooka not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Salazar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Salazar trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Salazar sitting in guard, not really doing much. Salazar throwing strikes from guard but Snooka blocks nicely. Snooka should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Snooka tries to escape but Salazar is in control. Salazar goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Snooka has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Salazar but great work by Snooka. Salazar can't do much from the bottom here. Salazar manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Salazar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Salazar is trying to work for a kimura but Snooka is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Snooka is looking to control Salazar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Snooka avoid being mounted? Salazar not doing much here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Snooka is defended easily by Salazar. Salazar has closed the distance and engaged Snooka in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snooka is trying to push Salazar away but Salazar has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Salazar wants the takedown. Snooka is fighting it off but Salazar persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Snooka's guard against the cage. Salazar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Salazar wants to get up but he can't break Snooka's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Snooka working a defensive guard here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Salazar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Snooka is breathing heavily. Salazar avoids the attempt from Snooka to control. Salazar lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Snooka hang on? Salazar lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Snooka defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salazar. Snooka fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Snooka shoots and misses and Salazar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Fredrick Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Snooka. Snooka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Salazar dives in and scores a takedown into Snooka's guard. Snooka looks to escape but Salazar dives into side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Salazar takes a little breather and maintains the position. Fredrick Salazar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Salazar fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
