The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
jones tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
jones jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mandic is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mandic and jones has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
jones stands up and beckons Mandic to his feet.
A head kick misses from Mandic.
jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mandic tests jones's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mandic lands a big head kick that sends jones to the canvas! Mandic follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
