Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sin Cara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierce is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I'm Different. Andrew Pierce will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sin Cara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Pierce! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cara dives in for a single leg takedown but Pierce sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Pierce's face as he tries to break the clinch. Cara breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pierce will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pierce throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cara. Cara really is a fat lump. Pierce scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Pierce tries to sprawl but Cara drives through with a takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cara in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pierce has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cara is working away from the top position though. Pierce wants to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sin Cara. Pierce tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cara moves into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Pierce's face as he tries to break the clinch. Pierce doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Cara just leaning against Pierce, taking a breather. Cara gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pierce regains guard.
Pierce kicks Cara off and gets to his feet. A head kick misses from Pierce. Pierce lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cara at a distance.
Pierce misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pierce tries to clinch up. Cara gets a takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Cara controlling the action here. Pierce is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cara's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cara's back! Cara can't escape the position.
Cara wants to control his opponent's hands but Pierce gets his hands free. Cara has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Cara trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cara misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pierce is keen to just control but Cara is a slippery customer. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pierce wants to pass the guard but Cara is defending well. Cara makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cara. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pierce looks to clinch and Pierce takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Cara stuffs the takedown attempt from Pierce. Pierce gets slowly back to his feet.

Cara prevents Pierce from getting the reversal. Cara controlling the pace for now. Cara can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pierce is looking to escape. Sin Cara overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pierce is in a horrible position here. Cara smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Cara working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cara sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cara seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pierce for as long as he can get away with. Pierce has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Pierce trying to control the hands but Cara won't let him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cara has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pierce has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Cara stuns Pierce with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Pierce tries to close the distance and clinch but Cara swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pierce rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cara moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pierce looks to land a combination but Cara avoids it well. Pierce fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sin Cara. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cara, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
