Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dean Whinchester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Griffin Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glass has chosen run to the hills- iron maiden as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Griffin Glass has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Whinchester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Griffin Glass!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whinchester misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Glass gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Whinchester sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Glass's guard.
Whinchester is pressing down on Glass's thigh, looking to free his foot. Glass is holding on for now.

Whinchester is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are battling for position here. Glass manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Glass working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Whinchester tries to free his leg and advance position but Glass is retaining full guard.

Glass working for submissions but it's allowed Whinchester to get to half guard.

Glass moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Whinchester advances position into side control!
Glass is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Whinchester off and has taken his back!

Glass is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Whinchester defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Whinchester tries to escape but Glass has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Glass doesn't have the hooks in and Whinchester manages to turn into his guard.

Whinchester drops back looking for a leg! Glass is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Glass manages to kick Whinchester off! Whinchester jumps back into Glass's guard.

Glass is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Whinchester drops back looking for a leg! Glass is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Glass manages to kick Whinchester off! Whinchester jumps back into Glass's guard.
Whinchester really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Whinchester drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Glass dives on top into guard.

Whinchester looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Whinchester wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Glass passes Whinchester's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Glass passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Whinchester!
Glass content just to control the position here.
Glass prevents Whinchester from getting the reversal.
Whinchester is working hard here to advance position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Griffin Glass will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Whinchester throws a leg kick but Glass moved away.
Griffin Glass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whinchester will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Glass wants to clinch.

Whinchester moves into the clinch successfully.

Glass has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Whinchester uses from the top position.

Whinchester drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Whinchester jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Glass working for a triangle but Whinchester defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Glass is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Whinchester pulls his head out easily.

Whinchester is working for a kimura but Glass is defending it quite comfortably.

Whinchester is working for a submission of some sort.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Whinchester is looking to advance position but Glass won't allow it.
Glass moves into full guard.
Whinchester looking to pass the guard.

Glass escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Whinchester gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Whinchester forces his way into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Glass wants to control but Whinchester is keeping busy and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Whinchester is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Glass trying to hold on to Whinchester's head to control him but Whinchester postures up.

Whinchester is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Glass defends it well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Glass tries to get to full guard but Whinchester has control of the leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Griffin Glass will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Whinchester moves into range and clinches up with Glass.

Whinchester jumps guard and drags Glass to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Glass is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Whinchester is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Whinchester has escaped and now he's on top!

Glass isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Whinchester stacks Glass on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Whinchester!

Whinchester has hold of Glass's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Glass seems comfortable defending it but Whinchester has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Glass is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Glass is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Whinchester couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dean Whinchester!
