Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ratan Negi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karelin Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Negi comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac-Tupac All Eyez On Me . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Karelin Roman! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Karelin Roman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Negi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Negi wants it to stay on the feet. Roman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Roman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Roman controlling from the top position. That's one minute gone in the round. Roman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Let's hope that Roman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. It looks like Roman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Karelin Roman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Roman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Negi avoids it really well and circles away. Ratan Negi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karelin Roman.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Negi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roman somewhat. Roman shoots in looking for a takedown but Negi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Roman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Roman. Roman throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roman shoots in but no luck this time. Negi looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Negi gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Roman to score an easy takedown into full guard. Negi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Roman stops Negi from standing up. Roman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Roman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Roman postures up in Negi's guard and throws a big left but Negi blocks it. Roman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Roman is pushing down on Negi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Negi is fighting to maintain full guard but Roman has managed to sneak the leg through. Roman controlling the pace. Negi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Negi tries to get out of the position. Roman has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Negi defend it? Roman steps over the head and cranks it - Negi is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Roman!
