Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Junior Villia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junior Villia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Cross! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cross misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cross is looking to clinch. Villia drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Villia in side control, just content to control the action for now. Cross gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Cross keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cross tries to roll over but Villia keeps him under control. Villia stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Villia blocks the strikes from Cross.
Villia wants to free his trapped foot but Cross is holding on for dear life with his legs. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Junior Villia wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cross looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Cross shoots in looking for a takedown. Villia tries to sprawl out of it but Cross keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Villia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cross wants to clinch up but Villia keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Villia lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Dean Cross has been cut. Villia rushes Cross and presses him up against the cage. Cross changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Villia fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Junior Villia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Cross. Villia throws a right and a left that both miss. Villia decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Villia content to control rather than advance. Villia is working for a submission of some sort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Villia controlling from mount. Cross is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Villia stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. A telegraphed right hand from Cross misses the target. Cross moves to clinch but Villia breaks away and Villia decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cross's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Villia's corner is telling him to maintain position. Cross really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Villia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Villia tries to free his leg and advance position but Cross is retaining full guard. Villia postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Villia sitting in guard here, content to control.
Junior Villia has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Some wild striking there from Villia.

Junior Villia dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dean Cross's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Villia shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Villia showed some decent athleticism there. Villia sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cross defending well though. Villia is pressing down on Cross's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cross is holding on for now. Cross throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cross trying to remain calm as Villia controls from the top position. Villia has control of an arm but Cross manages to advance to Villia's back! Cross doesn't have the hooks in and Villia manages to turn into his guard.
Villia slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Villia stands up from Cross's guard - Villia perhaps looking for a knockout. Cross shoots in and drives through. Villia sprawls well. Villia throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cross. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Villia moves into range and clinches up with Cross.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cross is trying to drag Villia to the mat but Villia just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Villia as Cross tries to tie him up. Villia pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cross throws a body kick that misses. Cross tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Villia shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cross manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Villia controlling from the top position. Cross looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Villia being controlled here momentarily. Villia is stalling in the full guard. Villia won't allow Cross to sweep him here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Villia controlling from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cross did well to prevent Villia getting side control. Villia lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Villia is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cross sees it coming and defends easily. Villia wants to pass to mount but Cross is defending the position. Villia controlling the action here. The fighters are battling for position here. Cross manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Cross wants to get back to his feet but Villia is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Villia decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cross, up you get! Cross shoots for a takedown but Villia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cross shoots in for a takedown but Villia shows good takedown defense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Villia throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cross tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Villia is in Cross's guard. Villia landing with the ground and pound. Cross being controlled here, momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Villia postures up in Cross's guard and throws a big left but Cross blocks it. Villia seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Villia is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cross can do to turn this around? We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Villia's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Villia wants to sweep but no luck. Cross is looking to stand up but Villia won't let him.
And that's the end of the fight! Junior Villia showed his dominance in that final round. Well Villia has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
