The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Justice dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ortiz has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Justice is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Justice comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ortiz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ortiz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Justice is fending him off so far but Ortiz persists. Nope, Justice circles away and we're back to standing.

Justice pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've been told by Justice's head coaches at Vicious Striking that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Justice tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ortiz was well out of range. Poor timing from Justice.
Justice moves out of range as Ortiz strikes.
Ortiz looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Justice throws an overhand right that lands on Ortiz's shoulder, as Ortiz tries to avoid the shot.
Ortiz misses with a takedown attempt - Justice sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jon Justice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Ortiz.
Justice stuns Ortiz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Justice connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ortiz's hands.

Ortiz throws a low kick but Justice moves out of range easily.
Justice paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ortiz takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ortiz glances at the clock... BAM! Justice nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Ortiz crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Ortiz is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
