Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Piltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ollie Ritch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piltz comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Stop Me Now. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Piltz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ollie Ritch!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Ritch.
Piltz tries for a takedown but Ritch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ritch throws a head kick but Piltz moves out of range.
Piltz throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Piltz gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ritch avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Piltz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ritch thows a left - swing and a miss!
Piltz has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Thunder Dome in the buildup to the fight.
Piltz wants to clinch.
Ollie Ritch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ritch closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ritch is trying to break free.
Piltz misses with a body punch.

Ritch breaks from the clinch.

Piltz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Piltz lands with a shot to the body.
Piltz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Ritch tries to clinch but Piltz moves out of range.

and Piltz counters with a good low kick that Ritch was not able to check.
Piltz throws a right hand that Ritch ducks under and follows up with a left that Ritch also avoids with ease.
Ritch dodges the punch combination from Piltz.
Piltz misses with a head kick.
Ritch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Piltz tries to bum rush Ritch with a series of wild strikes but Ritch uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ritch throws out a loose jab but Piltz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ritch misses with a body shot.
Piltz circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Piltz looks to land a combination but Ritch avoids it well.
Piltz throws out a loose jab but Ritch uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ritch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ritch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ritch on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ritch lands a nice hook to Piltz's body. Piltz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Ritch keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ritch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ollie Ritch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ritch pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Piltz scores with a takedown into Ritch's guard.

Piltz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ritch dives on top into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ollie Ritch will probably get the nod.

and Piltz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ritch's guard.

Piltz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Ritch has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Piltz stands and steps away. Ritch gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Piltz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ritch sprawls well initially but Piltz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Piltz wants to pass to mount but Ritch is defending the position.
Piltz trying to control from half guard but Ritch is working away.
Piltz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ritch is trying to get back to full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Piltz is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ritch is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mark Piltz!
Mark Piltz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
