Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Toepfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerome Wilson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jerome Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toepfer dodges the punch combination from Wilson.
A shot to the body from Toepfer misses
and Wilson counters with an inside leg kick.
Toepfer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wilson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Toepfer is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Wilson is trying to improve his position.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Toepfer is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Wilson is trying to escape and Toepfer transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Wilson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Toepfer! Very nice indeed!
