Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Monte Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Marek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Marek's choice of entrance music: hed pe. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Monte Holt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Igor Marek!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt closes the distance and pushes Marek back into the cage.
Holt has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Marek is trying to keep an underhook but Holt manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Marek tries to get to full guard but Holt has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holt stops Marek from getting back to his feet.
Well, if Holt is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Marek is trying to maintain the position but Holt is very close to passing his half guard.
Holt trying to control the pace.
Holt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Monte Holt.
Holt throws a head kick but Marek moves out of range.
Holt gets a clinch.
Holt turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Holt manages to end up in side control.
Marek is being controlled here.
Holt stands up.
Holt keeps the fight on the outside.
Holt gets caught flat footed, as Marek shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Holt is looking for a triangle but Marek pushes his legs off easily.
Holt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Holt pulls Marek in close to prevent any damage.
Holt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marek trying to control the position from guard on top but Holt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marek is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Marek throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Holt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Holt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Marek is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Holt pulls his head out easily.

Holt seems to be looking for submissions.
Holt wants to take a breather but Marek is having none of it.

Holt decides to stand up.
Marek throws a right hand that Holt ducks under and follows up with a left that Holt also avoids with ease.

Marek fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Holt pulls guard.
Holt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marek can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Holt misses the shot to the body.
Marek misses with a takedown attempt - Holt sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Holt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marek.
A nice inside leg kick there by Marek. That's going to slow Holt down.
Holt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Marek regains half guard.
Marek is looking to control Holt's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marek avoid being mounted?

Holt stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Marek - that will leave a mark!
Marek wants to clinch up but Holt keeps it at a distance.
Marek doesn't manage to clinch there - Holt circles away.
Holt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Marek is breathing heavily.
Holt perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Holt gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Holt throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Marek was covering up waiting for the punch and Holt finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Marek working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Holt has passed into half guard!
Holt decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Marek fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Holt avoids it really well and circles away.
Monte Holt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Marek.
Marek tries to clinch but Holt moves out of range.

Holt swats away the attempt to clinch by Marek.
Holt gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Holt lands with a left to the head.
Holt pulls Marek into guard.
Marek looking to sit in guard and control but Holt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Holt gets to his feet. Marek looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Holt pulls Marek into guard.
Holt wants to hit a switch here but Marek passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Holt there!
Holt wants to control but Marek is having none of it.
Holt tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Monte Holt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marek landing strikes from the mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Holt sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Monte Holt dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Marek tries to clinch up but Holt circles away and keeps his distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Marek.
Holt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Marek tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Holt is in Marek's guard.

Holt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Holt passes Marek's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Marek takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Holt is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Holt wants to free his trapped foot but Marek is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Marek is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Holt pulls his head out easily.
Holt thows a huge punch but Marek dodges it nicely.

Holt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Monte Holt wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Holt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Marek's guard.

Marek tries to bench press Holt off him but Holt keeps the position.
Holt in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Holt looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Holt passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Marek!
Igor Marek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Marek is working to get back to half guard.
Holt working for a guillotine from mount but Marek is in no mood to give up.

Monte Holt showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Holt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
