Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Crisanto Pitpitunge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitpitunge closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pitpitunge lands in his opponent's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Griffin wants to get back to his feet but Pitpitunge is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pitpitunge wants to stand but Griffin has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Griffin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Griffin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That was a close round but I would say that Crisanto Pitpitunge will probably get the nod.
