Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Caballero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raven Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucas has chosen Maniac as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Caballero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raven Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Caballero slams his shin into Lucas's torso.
Caballero moves in looking to clinch but Lucas pushes him off.
Lucas swats away the attempt to clinch by Caballero.
Caballero connects with a leg kick. Lucas looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Lucas takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Caballero ducks under a wild hook from Lucas.
Lucas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Caballero to the mat! Caballero manages to get full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lucas is looking to pass into half guard but Caballero pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Caballero is in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lucas shoots in looking for a takedown. Caballero tries to sprawl out of it but Lucas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Caballero manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
David Caballero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raven Lucas.

Caballero bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lucas's head backwards.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Caballero counters with a low kick, right behind Lucas 's knee.
It looks like Caballero has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Caballero lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Lucas takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Caballero is looking for a kimura but Lucas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Caballero to get the leverage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
