Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Hatfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatfield comes to the cage accompanied by Country Boy Can Survive. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, William Hatfield! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Jacobs! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hatfield prevents Jacobs from moving into mount. Jacobs wants to stand but Hatfield has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Jacobs trying to control but Hatfield is working from the bottom. Jacobs wants to get up but he can't break Hatfield's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Jacobs told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. That's two minutes gone in the round. Hatfield drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hatfield jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hatfield throws an elbow that misses. Jacobs uses the momentum to reverse the position. A very excited looking Peter Jacobs made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
