The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xinhai swings widly with a right hand

and Jamison counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Xinhai!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Xinhai tries to bench press Jamison off him but Jamison keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jamison accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jamison, as that shot connected.
Yang Xinhai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jamison fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Xinhai is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Jamison dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jamison uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Xinhai.
Jamison closes the distance and clinches up with Xinhai, looking for a takedown. Jamison pushes Xinhai against the cage but Xinhai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Xinhai fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Jamison steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Xinhai. That one must have hurt.
Xinhai moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like John Jamison has been cut.
Jamison lands with a hook. Xinhai tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
