Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Samuel Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mariusz Sedniak! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sedniak is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Santos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sedniak sprawls well initially but Santos persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sedniak trying to control here.
Santos content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Santos wants to pass to mount but Sedniak is defending the position. Sedniak is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos is taking a breather. Sedniak says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Samuel Santos wasn't doing enough on the ground. Santos tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Sedniak counter with a right hand.
It looks like Samuel Santos has been cut. Sedniak fails with an attempt to clinch.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Sedniak. Santos can't do much from the bottom here. Santos tries to improve position but can't. Santos is working hard here to advance position. Sedniak is working Santos over with some ground and pound from side control. Santos can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sedniak throwing shots but missing, from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sedniak wants to control but Santos is keeping him busy. Santos is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Santos is trying to improve his position. Sedniak tries to move to mount but Santos blocks the move with his legs. Sedniak with the ground and pound but Santos regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos is pressing down on Sedniak's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Santos could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sedniak looking to pass the guard. Sedniak trying to control but Santos is working from the bottom. Santos wants to stand but Sedniak is controlling the position. Sedniak must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sedniak trying to move into half guard but instead Santos has managed to sweep! Santos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sedniak is keeping the position for now. Sedniak working a defensive guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos wants to pass the guard but Sedniak is keeping the position. Sedniak being controlled here, momentarily. Santos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sedniak lands a head kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sedniak clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mariusz Sedniak will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Samuel Santos's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Sedniak is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sedniak tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santos swats him away and circles back towards the center. Santos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Santos tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. The fight moves into the clinch position. Sedniak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sedniak tries to clinch up. No luck for Sedniak with that takedown attempt. Santos shoots in looking for a takedown but Sedniak manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Santos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Sedniak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Santos. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samuel Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Santos or perhaps it was just good defense by Sedniak which made him look bad. Sedniak shoots in for a double leg but Santos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sedniak tries to clinch but Santos moves out of range. Sedniak fails in his attempt to clinch. Sedniak closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Santos's guard. Sedniak avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Santos keeping moving, preventing Sedniak from controlling successfully. Santos pulls Sedniak in close to his closed guard and prevents Sedniak from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sedniak works over Santos with some ground and pound from guard. Sedniak wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mariusz Sedniak was stalling too much, according to the referee. Sedniak keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sedniak darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Mariusz Sedniak has got the better of the ground game so far. Sedniak trying to pass the guard but Santos defending well. Nice strikes from Sedniak there. Santos tries to roll over but Sedniak keeps him under control. Sedniak has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Santos working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sedniak lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Sedniak is stalling here but it's allowed Santos to get half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sedniak takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sedniak is working away from the top position though. Santos wants to control but Sedniak passes into side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mariusz Sedniak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Samuel Santos's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Sedniak fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Santos tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sedniak defends well and Santos ends up having to push Sedniak into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Sedniak gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Santos misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sedniak drops down looking for an ankle pick but Santos pulls his leg out and moves away.
Samuel Santos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sedniak tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Santos defends well and Sedniak ends up having to push Santos into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Samuel Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mariusz Sedniak. Santos is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sedniak pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sedniak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sedniak's waist but Sedniak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Santos off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sedniak gets a clinch. Santos breaks from the clinch.
Santos tries to clinch but Sedniak moves out of range. Santos is looking to clinch but Sedniak is avoiding it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Santos has a takedown stuffed. Sedniak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Santos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sedniak tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Santos swivels and escapes. Sedniak shoots in for a takedown but Santos shows good takedown defense. Sedniak fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Santos, pushing him back against the cage. Santos trying to control the position but instead, Sedniak has worked for underhooks and has pushed Santos into the cage. Sedniak goes for a takedown in the clinch but Santos prevents it.

Santos stalling in the clinch but Sedniak improves position. Sedniak jumps guard.
Santos trying to control but Sedniak is working from the bottom. Sedniak has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos stands and steps away. Sedniak gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sedniak stuffs the takedown attempt from Santos. Santos gets slowly back to his feet. Sedniak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Santos is fending him off so far but Sedniak persists. Nope, Santos circles away and we're back to standing. Sedniak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santos tries to avoid it but Sedniak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santos to the ground. Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Santos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Santos wants to clinch. Sedniak avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos tries to clinch but Sedniak is having none of it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Santos. Sedniak throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Santos was covering up waiting for the punch and Sedniak finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sedniak postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sedniak doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sedniak manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Mariusz Sedniak. Well Sedniak has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
