PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Palicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakoba Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palicki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Palicki controls the pace.

Jones has his foot on Palicki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Palicki works his way back into a safe position though.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palicki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Palicki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Palicki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That has opened up Jakoba Jones's cut even more.
Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Jakoba Jones's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Dan Palicki really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Red Square Fight Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
