Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Retriever tries to clinch up.
Retriever looks to land a combination. Tanner sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Reuben Tanner has been cut.
Tanner tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Retriever defends well and Tanner ends up having to push Retriever into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Retriever goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tanner prevents it.
Tanner tries to circle away but Retriever has him pinned against the cage.
Tanner tries to break the clinch but Retriever is controlling the position.

Retriever breaks the clinch.
Tanner tries for a takedown but Retriever sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Retriever takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Milo Retriever has been cut.
Tanner stuffs the takedown attempt from Retriever. Retriever gets slowly back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Retriever misses with a wild combination.
Tanner leaves Retriever with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Reuben Tanner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milo Retriever.

Tanner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Retriever.
Retriever misses with a straight left.

Tanner tries to close the distance and clinch but Retriever swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tanner darts in looking for a takedown but Retriever gets double underhooks and turns Tanner into the cage.
Retriever tries to pull guard but Tanner won't allow it.
Tanner drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Retriever is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tanner pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Tanner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Retriever breaks the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Retriever throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Retriever shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tanner defends it nicely.
Retriever darts in looking for a takedown but Tanner gets double underhooks and turns Retriever into the cage.

Retriever stops a takedown attempt from Tanner.
Retriever jumps guard but Tanner stands there with Retriever around his waist. Retriever gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tanner tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Retriever just stands there and leans against the cage.
Retriever throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Tanner is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Tanner breaks the clinch.
Tanner fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tanner shoots in looking for a takedown. Retriever tries to sprawl out of it but Tanner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Retriever manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tanner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Retriever but Retriever pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tanner is breathing heavily.

Tanner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Retriever.
Retriever tries to clinch but Tanner is having none of it.
Tanner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Retriever sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tanner somewhat.
Tanner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Retriever circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tanner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Retriever swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That was a close second round but I would say that Reuben Tanner will probably get the nod.

Retriever wants to clinch up but Tanner keeps it at a distance.

I would just about give that final round to Milo Retriever.
Well Retriever has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
