Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alphonso Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devan Hennings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devan Hennings has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alphonso Kidd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Devan Hennings! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kidd closes the distance and pushes Hennings back into the cage. Hennings escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kidd wants to clinch up but Hennings keeps it at a distance. Hennings drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hennings remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Kidd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hennings on the ground. Hennings wants to stand but Kidd has his arm trapped. Hennings controlling the position from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kidd manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hennings's best efforts. Hennings looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kidd tries to get to full guard but Hennings has control of the leg. Hennings looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kidd with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hennings wants to control but Kidd is keeping him busy. Hennings tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Kidd.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hennings trying to mount his opponent but Kidd defends it. Hennings prevents Kidd from standing back up.
Hennings prevents Kidd from improving his position. Hennings landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Hennings controlling the action here. Kidd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hennings throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hennings thows a huge punch but Kidd dodges it nicely.

Hennings looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hennings wants to pass the guard but Kidd is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kidd has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hennings is working away from the top position though. Hennings not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hennings seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Hennings looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hennings circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kidd shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hennings defends it nicely. Kidd displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hennings. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kidd is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hennings to keep the fight standing. Hennings prevents Kidd from breaking the clinch. Hennings struggles to land a body shot inside as Kidd controls his hands.

Alphonso Kidd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devan Hennings. Hennings blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Hennings looking for a takedown. Hennings is trying to drag Kidd to the mat but Kidd just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kidd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kidd looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kidd tries to clinch up but Hennings circles away and keeps his distance. Hennings shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kidd defends it nicely. Hennings tries to keep at a distance but Kidd has taken the fight into the clinch. Kidd tries to score a body lock takedown but Hennings shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Hennings breaks from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kidd shoots in but no luck this time. Hennings blocks a head kick by Kidd.
Hennings tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kidd manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hennings shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kidd manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kidd utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hennings slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kidd seems a little lost for a moment, as Hennings dominates the positioning. Hennings wants to stand but Kidd has his arm trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hennings wants to control but Kidd is keeping him busy. Kidd tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hennings presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Devan Hennings showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Hennings has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kidd's face.
Hennings trying to control but Kidd is having none of it. Hennings with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hennings trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hennings is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Kidd is bucking up trying to escape but Hennings cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Alphonso Kidd has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Devan Hennings is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hennings moves to the back position.
And that's the end of the fight! Devan Hennings comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hennings has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
