Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Romeo Bellanca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maul Windu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bellanca comes to the cage accompanied by Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold. Windu has chosen Who We Are as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Romeo Bellanca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maul Windu!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bellanca fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Windu misses with a head kick.
Windu throws a body punch but Bellanca moves out of range.
Windu takes a swing at Bellanca's ribcage but misses.
Bellanca keeps the fight on the outside.
Bellanca's jab looks to have found its range, popping Windu under the eye.
Bellanca swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bellanca thows a left - swing and a miss!
Windu with a hook.
Windu dips to his left and cracks Bellanca with an uppercut!

Bellanca bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bellanca lands a few punches from side control.
Bellanca trying to control the action but Windu is working from the bottom.
Bellanca throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Windu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Bellanca working over Windu with some ground and pound. Windu looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Windu is trying to maintain the position but Bellanca is very close to passing his half guard.

Bellanca is working for a kimura but Windu is defending it quite comfortably.

Bellanca definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Windu felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Windu tries to kick Bellanca off but Bellanca keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Bellanca is looking for a kimura but Windu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bellanca to get the leverage.
Bellanca thows a huge punch but Windu dodges it nicely.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Windu is refusing to be controlled, as Bellanca sits in half guard.

Bellanca is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Windu is just riding it out for now. Bellanca eventually gives up the hold.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Windu is in trouble now - Bellanca has advanced to mount!

Windu takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Windu is squirming around, avoiding Bellanca's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Romeo Bellanca dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bellanca slips under a jab.
A head kick misses from Bellanca.
Windu lands a head kick. Bellanca smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Windu! Bellanca is out on his feet! Windu rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Bellanca is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Bellanca is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maul Windu!
