Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dion Devlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hitokiri Batosai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batosai has chosen Kenshin's Theme as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dion Devlin! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hitokiri Batosai! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batosai tries to clinch there but Devlin circles away.
Batosai pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Batosai tries to clinch up but Devlin circles away and keeps his distance. Batosai misses with a jab, cross combination.
Batosai misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Batosai tries a head kick but it misses.
Devlin misses with a looping left. Batosai throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Batosai throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Batosai throws a sloppy head kick and Devlin moves out of range easily. Batosai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Batosai works Devlin's body with a nice hook. Devlin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Batosai looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Devlin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Batosai sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Devlin tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Batosai avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Devlin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Devlin misses with the ground and pound. Devlin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Batosai has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Devlin but great work by Batosai. Devlin struggling a bit here. Batosai is looking to take a break and control but Devlin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Devlin is letting Batosai control him for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Devlin is trying to get back to half guard. Batosai decides to stand back up. Batosai steps back and let's Devlin get back to his feet. Devlin moves out of range as Batosai throws a body kick.
Devlin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Batosai but Batosai pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Devlin takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Batosai looks to land a right hand but Devlin moved out of range. Devlin moves out of range as Batosai throws a body kick.
Hitokiri Batosai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Devlin misses with a wild body shot. Batosai throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Devlin avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Batosai goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Hitokiri Batosai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Batosai throws a head kick that misses. Devlin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Batosai can do anything to dispel that myth. Devlin working over Batosai with some ground and pound. Batosai looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Devlin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Devlin tries to pass to full mount but Batosai defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Devlin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Batosai is looking to improve his position.
Devlin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Batosai's head. Batosai is staying active underneath Devlin, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Devlin thows a huge punch but Batosai dodges it nicely.
Devlin wants to take a breather but Batosai is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Devlin slips a nice elbow through Batosai's hands, connecting with Batosai's forehead. Batosai tries to get to full guard but Devlin has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hitokiri Batosai dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Batosai throws a head kick but Devlin moves out of range.

Batosai looks to land a body kick but Devlin moved away. Batosai misses the jab. A head kick misses from Batosai. Batosai clinches. Devlin gets control of Batosai's arms and successfully pulls guard. Devlin will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Batosai stays in close to Devlin's body and controls the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Devlin is trying to keep Batosai in close.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Hitokiri Batosai wasn't active enough on the ground. Devlin tries to land a front kick but Batosai steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Batosai misses with a body shot.
Devlin throws a head kick but Batosai moves out of range.
Devlin swats away the attempt to clinch by Batosai. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Devlin. Batosai fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Batosai pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A bone on bone clash there as Batosai blocks the leg kick.
Batosai throws a head kick that misses. Devlin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Batosai gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Batosai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Devlin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Batosai tries to buck Devlin off but he can't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Devlin. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Devlin is landing with some decent strikes but Batosai is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Devlin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Batosai is looking to escape. Batosai has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Devlin landing strikes from the mount and Batosai is in trouble! Batosai trying desperately to get to his feet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Dion Devlin! Dion Devlin retains his middleweight title! Dion Devlin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
