Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jenny Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rory Batchelor! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batchelor throws a combination. Jones tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jones swings for the body but Batchelor moves out of range.
Jones closes the distance and clinches. Jones has Batchelor pressed against the cage.
Jones scores a nice knee to the body.
Jones is defending well against a takedown attempt. Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Batchelor uses good head movement to avoid it. Jones tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Batchelor's elbow. Jones misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batchelor is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jones is defending well. Jones working aggressively here.

Jenny Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rory Batchelor. Jones is pressed up against the cage. Batchelor has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jones misses with the combination.
Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Batchelor, pushing him back against the cage. Jones is defending well against a takedown attempt. Jones looking to stall.

A head punch on the inside from Jones fails to land. Batchelor is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jones tries to work over Batchelor's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Batchelor has Jones pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Batchelor pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jones tumbling to the mat - Batchelor dives into Jones's guard. Jones could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jones working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Batchelor has passed into side control.
Jones struggling a bit here. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones regains half guard. Batchelor wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well. Batchelor is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position. Batchelor tries to pass to full mount but Jones defends it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones is looking to improve his position.

Jones lands a nice shot that snaps Batchelor's head back.
Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Batchelor! Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Batchelor keeps working. Batchelor manages to get back to half guard. Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Batchelor is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Batchelor wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it. Batchelor regains full guard. Nicely done. Batchelor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones postures up and lands a big shot to Batchelor's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Batchelor is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Batchelor missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jones tries to get to full guard but Batchelor has control of the leg. Batchelor controlling the action here. Jones is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to control but Batchelor is keeping busy.
Jones is controlling Batchelor's position as best he can from this difficult position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jones tries to bum rush Batchelor with a series of wild strikes but Batchelor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jones gets a clinch. Batchelor prevents Jones from breaking the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones looking to slow down the pace here. Batchelor blocks a body shot from Jones. Jones prevents the takedown attempt.
Jones landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Jones goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jones unloads a knee to the mid-section. Batchelor lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Batchelor drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Batchelor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jones stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jones closes the distance and clinches. Batchelor blocks an uppercut.
Jones slows down the pace here.
Batchelor is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually Batchelor manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jenny Jones will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Jones jabs at Batchelor's body. Jones scores with a hook. Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jones misses with a punch on the inside.
Batchelor tries to pull guard but Jones forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Jones misses with a knee strike.
Batchelor goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jenny Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones rushes Batchelor and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jones takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Batchelor is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones cracks Batchelor with a right hand to the side of the head. Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Batchelor off balance momentarily. Jones misses with a double jab.

Batchelor gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard. Jenny Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Batchelor avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rory Batchelor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Batchelor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Batchelor has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Jenny Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
