Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bobby Blimm!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Blimm has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nelson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Blimm misses with a series of wild punches.
Nelson takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Jake Nelson has been cut.

Nelson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Jake Nelson will probably get the nod.

and Nelson counters with a right hand to the body.
Blimm tries to close the distance and clinch but Nelson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Blimm darts in looking for a takedown but Nelson gets double underhooks and turns Blimm into the cage.

Blimm throws a series of punches but Nelson moves out of range.
Blimm avoids the body shot from Nelson.
Blimm swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bobby Blimm is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bobby Blimm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nelson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Blimm for as long as he can get away with.
