Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peter Lowey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Rotten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lowey comes to the cage accompanied by Land Down Under. Peter Lowey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Lowey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jonny Rotten! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rotten doesn't manage to clinch there - Lowey circles away.
Rotten swings for the body but Lowey moves out of range.
Rotten shoots in but no luck this time. Lowey lands with an overhand left. Lowey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rotten.
Rotten has his takedown stuffed and Lowey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rotten won't be happy with that. Rotten is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lowey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Rotten wants to improve his position but Lowey is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lowey stalling. Rotten is looking for a sweep. Lowey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lowey is taking a breather. Rotten says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Rotten actively working from the bottom here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Peter Lowey wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lowey drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rotten tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lowey stays in close to Rotten's body and controls the position. Rotten is trying to control the position but Lowey postures up. Rotten working a defensive guard but Lowey manages to pass into side control anyway.
Lowey tries to move to mount but Rotten blocks the move with his legs. A bit of a lull in the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rotten sneaks back into half guard. Rotten wants to get back to full guard. We've been hearing good reports from Lowey's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Rotten controlling the position for now. Lowey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Rotten trying to hold on to Lowey's head to control him but Lowey postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rotten wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Peter Lowey will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Rotten closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lowey's guard. Lowey keeping full guard, as Rotten tries to pass. Peter Lowey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rotten has gone for a leg lock! Lowey slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rotten's guard. Rotten working a defensive guard but Lowey manages to pass into side control anyway.
Rotten is looking to regain half guard here but Lowey keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rotten is not content to let Lowey control the position. Rotten struggling a bit here. Rotten is trying to escape the position but Lowey is controlling the position. Rotten is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lowey controlling the position. Rotten tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rotten sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lowey prevents Rotten from improving his position. Rotten is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rotten has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lowey is working away from the top position though. Rotten wants to improve his position but Lowey is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rotten with a poor takedown and Lowey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lowey. Rotten is looking for a triangle but Lowey pushes his legs off easily.
Rotten is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rotten looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Lowey passes into side control.

Jonny Rotten showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Rotten lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lowey circles away quickly and effectively. Lowey lands a head shot. The fighters circling - Rotten throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Lowey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice body punch from Rotten. Rotten shoots in and drives through. Lowey sprawls well. Lowey connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Rotten wants to clinch up but Lowey keeps it at a distance. Lowey slips a jab and a cross from Rotten.
Rotten fails with a takedown attempt. Jonny Rotten is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rotten moves to clinch but Lowey breaks away and Lowey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rotten won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rotten is trying to improve his position. Lowey takes a little break here. Rotten wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Rotten can't do much from the bottom here. Rotten tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lowey wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lowey controls the position. Lowey trying to control the action but Rotten is working from the bottom. Lowey is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rotten is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Peter Lowey wasn't doing enough on the ground. Rotten doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lowey counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rotten! Peter Lowey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Rotten. Rotten is looking for a sweep.

Rotten tries to bench press Lowey off him but Lowey keeps the position. Lowey trying to control the position but Rotten is working away. Rotten tries to get back to half guard but can't.

and Lowey counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lowey is looking to advance position but Rotten won't allow it. Lowey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rotten is trying to stand back up but Lowey is controlling him
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lowey in particular looking to stall. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Rotten is trying to control but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Peter Lowey showed his dominance in that final round. I think Lowey has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
