The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlemenko cracks Bansa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Bansa falls off balance throwing a combination
and Shlemenko counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Shlemenko lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Nice elbow from Shlemenko.
Shlemenko lands a knee to the head.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Bansa just misses with a elbow thrown towards Shlemenko's brow.
Shlemenko misses with a knee strike.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bansa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Shlemenko lands an elbow that stopped Bansa in his tracks for a moment.

Shlemenko throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bansa blocks it with crossed arms.

Bansa is still on wobbly legs! Can Shlemenko finish him?

Shlemenko has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Bansa - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Shlemenko, and another! Bansa is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
