Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Per Jonnsin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miasu Tonkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miasu Tonkov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Per Jonnsin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Per Jonnsin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miasu Tonkov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tonkov is looking to clinch but Jonnsin is avoiding it.
Tonkov shoots in for a double leg but Jonnsin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tonkov tries to clinch but Jonnsin moves away
and Jonnsin counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Jonnsin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jonnsin tries to keep at a distance but Tonkov has taken the fight into the clinch.

Tonkov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jonnsin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Jonnsin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tonkov on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tonkov trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Jonnsin doesn't escape.
Jonnsin trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Jonnsin tries to escape but Tonkov has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Tonkov patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Jonnsin is really stuck here.
Jonnsin is working hard here to advance position.
Jonnsin rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Still in half guard, Tonkov seems content to control.
Tonkov is pressing down on Jonnsin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jonnsin is holding on for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jonnsin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tonkov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Jonnsin strikes from the bottom but Tonkov passes into mount!

Tonkov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jonnsin is surviving well by controlling Tonkov's body position as best he can.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jonnsin tries to control Tonkov's body but Tonkov pushes him off. Jonnsin squirms to his side and now Tonkov has his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miasu Tonkov dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Tonkov dives in and scores a takedown into Jonnsin's guard.

Jonnsin is working an open guard so Tonkov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Tonkov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jonnsin shoots and misses

and Tonkov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jonnsin won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on Jonnsin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jonnsin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tonkov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Tonkov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jonnsin, who protects the arm well.
You can see the frustration on Jonnsin's face as Tonkov controls the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tonkov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Tonkov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tonkov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jonnsin gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Tonkov content just to control the position here.
Jonnsin is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Tonkov wants to control the pace but Jonnsin is squirming around nicely.

Tonkov working for a submission but Jonnsin is keeping him at bay.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tonkov trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miasu Tonkov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Tonkov throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Jonnsin counters with a head kick.

Jonnsin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tonkov to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jonnsin is working an open guard so Tonkov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jonnsin fails to land the takedown.
Jonnsin lunges at Tonkov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tonkov's hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tonkov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jonnsin but Jonnsin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tonkov shoots for a takedown but Jonnsin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jonnsin tries to clinch up.
Tonkov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've been informed that Tonkov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Per Jonnsin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tonkov leaves Jonnsin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Per Jonnsin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Jonnsin or perhaps it was just good defense by Tonkov which made him look bad.

Tonkov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tonkov in particular looking to stall.
Miasu Tonkov has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jonnsin wants to get back to his feet.

Tonkov controlling the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Miasu Tonkov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Good leg kick by Jonnsin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tonkov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Tonkov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jonnsin takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Per Jonnsin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Miasu Tonkov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Tonkov lands some shots froms side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Miasu Tonkov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Tonkov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
