Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marsh comes to the cage accompanied by I need my bike back. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsh closes this distance looking for a takedown but Alves circles away. Marsh fails with the takedown. Alves thows a left - swing and a miss! Alves misses with a looping left. Marsh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stan Marsh. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alves avoids the body shot from Marsh.

Marsh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Alves but Alves pushes him off and we're back to square one. A punch combination from Alves misses. Marsh shoots in for a takedown but Alves shows good takedown defense. Alves bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Marsh's head. Thiago Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marsh shoots in for a double leg but Alves sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Marsh shoots in for a takedown but Alves shows good takedown defense. Alves stuffs the takedown. Marsh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alves is fending him off so far but Marsh persists.
