Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Squirtle Blastoise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsuyoshi Tamatso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Squirtle Blastoise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tsuyoshi Tamatso!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blastoise with a poor takedown
and Tamatso counters with a takedown into side control.
Tamatso swings around for an armbar but Blastoise sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tamatso's guard.
Blastoise has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Tamatso to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Blastoise is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Tamatso pulls down on the head and he's put Blastoise to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tsuyoshi Tamatso!
