Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dorian Petersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James has chosen Kanye West as his entrance music. Dorian Petersen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon James!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James tries to clinch there but Petersen circles away.
Petersen misses with a few strikes there.
Petersen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A punch combination from Petersen misses.
Petersen tried to score with a low kick but James checks it.
James takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
James stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and James wants it to stay on the feet.
Petersen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but James avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dorian Petersen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Petersen clinches up with James and pushes him back against the cage.
James has Petersen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Petersen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Petersen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jon James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Petersen tries to sprawl but James drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Petersen is looking for a sweep. James is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Petersen is staying active underneath James, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
James prevents Petersen from improving his position.
Petersen tries to regain full guard. Instead though, James has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

James is standing up, even though he is in mount.

James throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Petersen was covering up waiting for the punch and James finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Petersen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as James controls the pace.

James thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Petersen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James lands a couple of decent looking shots.
James controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Petersen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. James defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

James avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
James seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Petersen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Petersen working for a triangle but James defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James shoots in and drives through. Petersen sprawls well.
James darts in looking for a takedown but Petersen gets double underhooks and turns James into the cage.

Petersen throws a series of punches but James moves out of range.
Petersen jabs James to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Petersen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. James defends it nicely.
James tries to clinch but Petersen is having none of it.
Dorian Petersen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

James tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Petersen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

James fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Petersen to the ground. James is now in Petersen's guard.
Petersen is trying to control the position but James postures up.
James would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
James lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Petersen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Petersen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as James controls the pace.
Petersen looking to hit a scissor sweep but James is one step ahead there.

James is wriggling around but Petersen manages to pass to half guard.
James slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jon James showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jon James hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
