The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gragula will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Thompson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Thompson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Thompson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gragula manages to avoid it.
Thompson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thompson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Thompson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Gragula is staying active underneath Thompson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Thompson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gragula wants to control but Thompson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gragula wants to control the pace but Thompson is squirming around nicely.
