Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Serafin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Sliva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Serafin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luiz Sliva!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sliva doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Serafin counters with a takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sliva is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Serafin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Serafin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sliva has escaped the position, nice work there.

Serafin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sliva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Serafin but great work by Sliva.

Sliva staying calm.
Sliva trying to control the position but Serafin is working away.

Sliva's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Sliva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Serafin tries to buck Sliva off but Sliva is having none of it.
Sliva staying calm.
Let's hope that Sliva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like Sliva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Luiz Sliva wasn't active enough on the ground.
No luck for Sliva with that takedown attempt.

and Serafin moves into the clinch.
Bruno Serafin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luiz Sliva.
Serafin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sliva has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Serafin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Serafin wants to control from the top but Sliva keeps moving.
Sliva can't keep his opponent in guard - Serafin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Serafin is stalling here. Sliva is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Serafin seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Sliva has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Serafin can't do much from the bottom here.
Serafin gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bruno Serafin will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Sliva misses with a takedown attempt

and Serafin counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Sliva is defending against the submission attempts here by Serafin.
Serafin is trying to control. Sliva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sliva tries to kick Serafin off but Serafin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Serafin is keen to just control but Sliva is a slippery customer.

Serafin is working for an americana but Sliva has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Serafin was thinking about the submission.
Serafin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Serafin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sliva has escaped the position, nice work there.

Serafin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Sliva manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Serafin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Serafin throws a strike but Sliva avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bruno Serafin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Serafin trying to control but Sliva is working from the bottom.
Serafin looking to sit in guard and control but Sliva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sliva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Serafin looking for a guillotine here but Sliva defends easily.
Sliva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Serafin is keeping the position for now.

Serafin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Sliva stands and throws Serafin's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sliva moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Serafin is trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sliva remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruno Serafin dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
