Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyron Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don John!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Randall is defended easily by John.

Randall clinches.

John gets underhooks to prevent Randall's takedown attempt.

Randall is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. John can't fight it off and eventually Randall manages to take the fight to the floor. John looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

John is trying to keep Randall in close.
John has his hands on Randall's head, controlling the position.

Don John has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
John shoots in for a takedown but Randall shows good takedown defense.

John closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on John's face as he tries to break the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
John looks to throw an elbow but misses.
John is looking to break free of the clinch but Randall has double underhooks.
Randall fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyron Randall. That's going to take a lot out of him.

John has clasped his hands together around Randall's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
John misses with the ground and pound.

John is looking to take a break and control but Randall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Randall gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
John tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Randall's elbow.

John is looking to work some ground and pound but Randall has wrist control.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyron Randall will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


John throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
John tries to clinch but Randall moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from John. Those never looked like landing.
John shoots in and drives through. Randall sprawls well.
John lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

John is trying hard to land a takedown here. Randall sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

John ducks under a wild hook from Randall.

Tyron Randall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don John.
John shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Randall pinned against the cage. Randall gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Randall shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. John manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Randall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
John flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Don John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
John wants to clinch but Randall slips to the side

and Randall counters with a nice double leg into side control. John won't be happy with that.

Randall is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

John throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Randall feints and as John raises his hands in defense, Randall changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Randall is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Randall wants to get up but he can't break John's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randall's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tyron Randall.
John lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Randall dives in and scores a takedown into John's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Don John has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tyron Randall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Tyron Randall showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Randall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
