Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jingle Jingle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jingle comes into the arena with Kay Kyser - I got spurs that jingle jangle jingle blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jingle Jingle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Lopez! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jingle fails to land the takedown. Lopez fails with a takedown attempt. Jingle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lopez shoots in for a takedown but Jingle shows good takedown defense. Jingle decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jingle is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Lopez! Jingle scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Lopez?
Jingle scoring with strikes but Lopez is staying in there. Jingle postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lopez looks a forlorn figure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. BOOM! Jingle connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Jingle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Jingle cracks Lopez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Lopez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jingle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jingle looking to control but Lopez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jingle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Jingle working the ground and pound effectively.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lopez can do anything to dispel that myth. Lopez is bucking up trying to escape but Jingle cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
It looks like Mike Lopez has been cut. Jingle lands a nice shot to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jingle has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lopez's face.

Lopez is still in real trouble! Can Jingle finish him? Jingle lands a big shot to the head and Lopez winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jingle Jingle! Jingle Jingle tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
