The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinzner throws a nice looking combination but Mercer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mercer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pinzner.
A jab from Mercer does it's job there.
Pinzner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mercer walks into a jab.
Mercer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Pinzner.
Pinzner's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Pinzner duly obliges.
It looks like Alex Mercer has been cut.
Pinzner thows a body shot but no joy.
A nice combination there by Mercer.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mercer throws a head kick that Pinzner semi-blocks.
Mercer throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Pinzner's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Mercer dives in looking to finish as Pinzner flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Mercer's strikes! Mercer is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Pinzner's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Pinzner was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alex Mercer!
