Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Musaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenji Musaki looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bryce Schmidt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Musaki! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schmidt closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Musaki quickly recovers to half guard. Musaki looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Schmidt wants to take a breather but Musaki is having none of it. Schmidt throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Schmidt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Schmidt looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Schmidt keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Musaki should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmidt wants to pass to mount but Musaki is defending the position. Schmidt prevents Musaki from improving his position. Schmidt is controlling the pace.
Bryce Schmidt has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A head kick misses from Schmidt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schmidt clinches up with Musaki and pushes him back against the cage. Schmidt pulls guard successfully.
Schmidt has Musaki pulled in close to control his posture. Musaki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schmidt is keeping the position for now. Schmidt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Schmidt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Schmidt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Musaki defends it easily. Musaki throws a strike but Schmidt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Schmidt wanted to stand there but Musaki had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schmidt wants to pass the guard but Musaki is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Schmidt defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Musaki. Musaki fails with a takedown attempt. Musaki looks winded! Schmidt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Musaki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Schmidt is in Musaki's guard. Schmidt in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Schmidt trying to control but Musaki is working from the bottom. Musaki wants to sweep here but Schmidt controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A head kick misses from Schmidt. Schmidt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Schmidt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Musaki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Musaki stops Schmidt from passing to mount. Schmidt throwing strikes but Musaki manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Musaki is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmidt manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Schmidt is looking for a sweep. Musaki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Schmidt is looking to control Musaki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Schmidt avoid being mounted? Bryce Schmidt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Schmidt misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Schmidt is pressing down on Musaki's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Schmidt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Schmidt is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Musaki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Schmidt is trying to control the position but Musaki postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Musaki stopping the sweep attempt from Schmidt. Musaki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Schmidt dives on top into guard. Schmidt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bryce Schmidt. Sloppy strikes from Schmidt. Those never looked like landing. Musaki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Schmidt as he avoids it easily. Bryce Schmidt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Musaki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Schmidt swats him away and circles back towards the center. Musaki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schmidt tries a head kick but it misses.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Schmidt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schmidt slows the pace down. Musaki wants to control but Schmidt postures up. Schmidt happy to just control the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Schmidt lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Schmidt tries to stand but Musaki is controlling his head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Bryce Schmidt just wasn't active enough. Nice takedown defense from Schmidt. No joy for Musaki on that attempt. Bryce Schmidt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenji Musaki. Schmidt shoots in and bounces Musaki off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Schmidt advances position into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryce Schmidt dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Schmidt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Musaki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Musaki shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Schmidt manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Schmidt looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Musaki won't allow Schmidt to get back to his feet. Musaki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Schmidt dives on top into guard. Schmidt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Musaki wants to sweep but no luck. Musaki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmidt tries to free his leg and advance position but Musaki is retaining full guard. Schmidt tries to stand but Musaki is controlling from the bottom. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bryce Schmidt wasn't doing enough on the ground. Schmidt shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Musaki is trying to defend but Schmidt finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Musaki trying to get back to full guard but Schmidt takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schmidt looking to secure an arm triangle but Musaki defends it well. Schmidt working for a submission but Musaki is keeping him at bay. Musaki is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Musaki tries to hold on but Schmidt postures up. Schmidt thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Musaki holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Schmidt tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Schmidt controlling the pace for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Bryce Schmidt showed his dominance in that final round. Well Schmidt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
