Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Mercurius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercurius comes to the cage accompanied by Amplifier - The Wave. Barnes comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mercurius.
Mercurius dives in and grabs Barnes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barnes pushes down on Mercurius's head and hops out.
Mercurius smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Barnes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Barnes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Mercurius.

Mercurius fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barnes.

Mercurius tries a head kick but it misses.
Barnes tries to land a front kick but Mercurius steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Mercurius fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Barnes is out of range.
Mercurius jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Barnes leaves Mercurius with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocky Mercurius. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barnes moves away from the strike by Mercurius.
Mercurius scores with a crisp jab that stopped Barnes in his tracks.
A chopping leg kick lands by Mercurius.

Mercurius missing with a left hand there. Barnes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Barnes walks into a stiff left hand from Mercurius.

Mercurius looks to land a left hand but Barnes moved out of range nicely.
Mercurius throws the left hand but Barnes avoids the punch easily.
Mercurius shoots in looking for a takedown but Barnes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mercurius's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mercurius fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barnes.
Mercurius misses the shot to the body.
Barnes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A head kick from Mercurius lands but Barnes takes it in his stride.
Barnes punishes Mercurius's body with a nice straight punch.
Barnes lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Barnes throws a quick head kick that knocks Mercurius silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Barnes is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
