And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Margret shoots in looking for a takedown. Sanchez tries to sprawl out of it but Margret keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sanchez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sanchez throws a nice looking combination but Margret bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sanchez stuffs the takedown attempt from Margret. Margret gets slowly back to his feet.
Sanchez shoots and misses

and Margret counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Margret.
Margret prevents Sanchez from getting back to his feet.
Sanchez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sanchez is looking for a triangle but Margret pushes his legs off easily.
Margret wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position.
Margret is fighting to break Sanchez's control of his arms but Sanchez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Anna Margret will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Sanchez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Margret is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sanchez is keeping busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Paul Sanchez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Well Sanchez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
