Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Merik Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt comes to the cage accompanied by Comfortably Numb. Patton has chosen Marilyn Manson - Born Villain as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Merik Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Patton!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton lands with a good body shot.
Hunt throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Patton fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hunt fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hunt misses with a leg kick.
Hunt with a jab.
Patton defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hunt.
Hunt finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Patton swings for the body but Hunt moves out of range.
Hunt slips under a jab from Patton.
Hunt misses with a series of wild punches.
Patton checks a leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Hunt or perhaps it was just good defense by Patton which made him look bad.
Patton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Patton throws a hook but Hunt blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Patton scores with a jab to the jaw.
A low kick from Patton is predictable there

and Hunt counters with a shoot takedown. Patton fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hunt is looking to work some ground and pound but Patton has wrist control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunt pushes down on Patton's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hunt trying to mount his opponent but Patton defends it.
Patton wants to control but Hunt is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Patton tries to get to full guard but Hunt has control of the leg.
Hunt slips a nice elbow through Patton's hands, connecting with Patton's forehead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Patton is looking for a sweep. Hunt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt is stalling here. Patton is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hunt seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Patton has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Hunt can't do much from the bottom here.
Hunt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Patton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Patton tries to advance to mount but Hunt denies him.
Hunt is looking to reverse the position.
Hunt is not content to let Patton control the position.
Patton tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hunt lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Patton jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hunt is looking to chop away at Patton's legs.
Patton lands with an uppercut that bounces Hunt off the cage and back into range.
Patton checks a leg kick.
Patton throws a leg kick which misses Hunt's front leg but catches the back leg as Hunt tries to avoid it.
Hunt tries to work over Patton's front leg with a kick but Patton checks it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Patton fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hunt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Patton avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Patton lands with an uppercut that bounces Hunt off the cage and back into range.
Hunt lands a nice leg kick that just misses Patton's sensitive parts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Michael Patton will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Patton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hunt.
Patton lands a right hook to the body.
Hunt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Patton circles away quickly and effectively.
Patton scores with a shot to the body.
Hunt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Patton takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Patton throws a hook to the side of Hunt's head but Hunt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Patton lands a nice hook to Hunt's body. Hunt takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Patton throws a push kick but Hunt slaps the foot to one side.
Patton on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Patton throws a combination. Hunt tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Hunt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Patton momentarily.
Patton feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hunt's calf.
Hunt defending well as Patton loads up on a big left hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Patton scores with a nice strike.


Hunt is rocked!
Patton lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Oh Hunt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Michael Patton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hunt throws a leg kick
and Patton counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Patton stuns Hunt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hunt glances at the clock... BAM! Patton nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Hunt crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Hunt is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Michael Patton!
A very excited looking Michael Patton made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
