The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bermudez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chandler sprawls well initially but Bermudez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bermudez winds up and cracks Chandler with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bermudez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chandler defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chandler is looking to control Bermudez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chandler avoid being mounted?
