Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Soon Do!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mitch Mitchel!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Do throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Do keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mitchel.
A big left from Do misses.
Mitchel on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Do keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mitchel misses with a looping right.
Do looks to land a combination but Mitchel avoids it well.
Do closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mitchel circles away.
We've been hearing reports that Do has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Do needs to keep his hands up - Mitchel had a free shot at his head there.
Do displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Do keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mitchel.

Do shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mitchel napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Do throws an elbow but Mitchel slips to the side and avoids it well.
Do lands an elbow.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Do working the head with strikes.
Mitchel is trying to get back to half guard.
Mitchel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Do. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The strikes coming from Do are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Do landing strikes.
Mitchel managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Do.

Mitchel is not content to let Do control the position.
Do creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mitchel sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Do working away.
Mitchel is looking to reverse the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mitchel is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Do sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Mitchel is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Mitchel managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Do.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Do takes a little break here. Mitchel wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Mitchel wants to control but Do postures up.

Do is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mitchel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Do looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mitchel is avoiding damage well.
Do cracks Mitchel with a big elbow.
Mitchel avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Do.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Do lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Do landing strikes.
Mitchel is still in real trouble! Can Do finish him?
Do misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mitchel seems to have recovered his senses.
Mitchel is looking for a sweep.
Do cracks Mitchel with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Mitchel wants to control but Do postures up.
Do lands a decent elbow from side control.
Do lands a strong strike to the head of Mitchel. That's dazed him! Do looking to finish here. Mitchel is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Do lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Soon Do!
A less than humble Soon Do misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
