Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Daiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooper has chosen star trek theme as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper tries to clinch there but Daiz circles away.

Cooper manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Daiz on his heels. He'll look to pass Daiz's guard now, I'm sure.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cooper accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Daiz wants to stand but Cooper is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cooper slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Cooper stands up over Daiz, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Daiz manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Cooper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Cooper feints and as Daiz raises his hands in defense, Cooper changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cooper drops back looking for a leg! Daiz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Daiz manages to kick Cooper off! Cooper jumps back into Daiz's guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cooper sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Daiz's guard.

In his post fight interview, Sheldon Cooper started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
