The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fabersave tries to close the distance and clinch up but LaPierre swats him away and circles back towards the center.

LaPierre rushes Fabersave and presses him up against the cage.
LaPierre stalling in the clinch.

LaPierre has Fabersave pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. LaPierre pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fabersave tumbling to the mat - LaPierre dives into Fabersave's guard.

Fabersave pushes LaPierre off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts LaPierre, as that shot connected.
LaPierre blocks a head kick by Fabersave.
LaPierre tries to close the distance and clinch but Fabersave swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
LaPierre is looking to clinch but Fabersave is avoiding it.
LaPierre blocks a low kick nicely.
LaPierre wants to clinch.

LaPierre has closed the distance and engaged Fabersave in a clinch.
Fabersave tries to break the clinch but LaPierre is controlling the position.
LaPierre is trying to maintain a safe position but Fabersave gets an underhook and turns LaPierre into the cage.
LaPierre tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Fabersave wants to break the clinch but can't.
LaPierre crunches a lovely knee into Fabersave's ribcage.
Fabersave wants to get back to striking at distance but LaPierre won't allow it.
LaPierre scores with a knee to the head.

Fabersave decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

LaPierre with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
LaPierre landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Fabersave breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

LaPierre gets the takedown into side control.
LaPierre is breathing heavily.

LaPierre stands up.
LaPierre shoots for a takedown but Fabersave saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from LaPierre.
Fabersave looks to land a combination but LaPierre avoids it well.
Fabersave is looking to clinch but LaPierre is avoiding it.
LaPierre keeps the fight on the outside.
LaPierre moves out of range as Fabersave throws a body kick.
LaPierre lands a nice looking kick to the body. Fabersave takes a step back to recover.

Fabersave clinches up against the cage.
Fabersave tries to break the clinch but LaPierre is controlling the position.

LaPierre landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
LaPierre has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fabersave is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

LaPierre keeps control of Fabersave as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Fabersave throws a left that rocks LaPierre and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Fabersave dives into side control, looking to finish! Can LaPierre regain composure!

It looks like Guy LaPierre has been cut.

Fabersave stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Oh LaPierre is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fabersave takes the fight into the clinch.

Fabersave breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fabersave lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. LaPierre is looking to close the distance but Fabersave sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! LaPierre crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope LaPierre is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
