The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahone has a takedown stuffed.
Mahone fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hansen stuffs the takedown.
Mahone darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mahone wants to free his trapped foot but Hansen is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hansen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Hansen manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hansen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hansen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mahone is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Mahone shoots in looking for a takedown but Hansen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mahone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hansen misses with a series of wild punches.
Mahone drives through and clinches with Hansen against the cage.
Mahone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hansen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mahone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hansen misses with a takedown attempt - Mahone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hansen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mahone tries to avoid it but Hansen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mahone to the ground. Mahone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hansen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mahone shoots in but Hansen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mahone tries to bum rush Hansen with a series of wild strikes but Hansen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mahone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hansen as he jumps to the side.
Mahone shoots in for a double leg but Hansen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hansen tries to clinch but Mahone is having none of it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hansen is defended easily by Mahone.
Hansen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mahone but Mahone pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hansen swats away the attempt to clinch by Mahone.
Mahone lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mahone.
It looks like Mauro Hansen has been cut.

Hansen darts in looking for a takedown but Mahone gets double underhooks and turns Hansen into the cage.
Mahone gets control of Hansen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mahone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Hansen postures up in Mahone's guard and throws a big left but Mahone blocks it.

Hansen closes the distance and clinches up with Mahone, looking for a takedown. Hansen pushes Mahone against the cage but Mahone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hansen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Mahone has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mahone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mahone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mahone swings around for an armbar but Hansen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mahone's guard.

Mahone lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Mahone throws a head kick but Hansen moves out of range.

Mahone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Hansen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hansen.
Hansen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mahone pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Mahone is pressed up against the cage. Hansen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mahone down to the mat. Mahone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Well Mahone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
