Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martin Van Buren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Ju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Martin Van Buren has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Martin Van Buren seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joey Ju!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ju closes the distance and pushes Van Buren back into the cage.
Ju controlling the action here for a moment.
We've been hearing reports that Van Buren has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Ju tries for a takedown but Van Buren manages to get underhooks.
Ju is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Van Buren to keep the fight standing.
Ju putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Van Buren in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Ju breaks from the clinch.
Ju steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Van Buren.
Van Buren tries to bum rush Ju with a series of wild strikes but Ju uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ju staying out of range there.
Van Buren's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ju under the eye.
Martin Van Buren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ju dodges the punch combination from Van Buren.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Van Buren will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Van Buren throws a right and a left that Ju avoids nicely.
Van Buren misses with a double jab.
Ju is trying hard to land a takedown here. Van Buren sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Martin Van Buren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Ju.
Ju tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Van Buren manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ju uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Van Buren.
Van Buren takes a swing at Ju's ribcage but misses.

Van Buren lands a right hook to the body.
Van Buren misses with the combination.
Van Buren throws a series of punches but Ju moves out of range.
A combination from Van Buren does no damage.
Ju throws a nice head kick!
The fighters circling - Ju throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Martin Van Buren is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ju tried to score with a low kick but Van Buren checks it.
Van Buren scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Van Buren pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ju back to the cage. Van Buren follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ju is rocked!
Ju cracks a nice hook into Van Buren's ribs.
Ju is still on wobbly legs! Can Van Buren finish him?
Ju shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Van Buren sprawls well. Van Buren wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ju gets slowly back to his feet.
Van Buren tries to bum rush Ju with a series of wild strikes but Ju uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Van Buren bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ju's head backwards.
Van Buren closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Ju! Van Buren dives in looking to finish! Ju is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Martin Van Buren!
