Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reid Madden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronnie Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Madden shoots and misses
and Coleman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Reid Madden has been cut.

Coleman shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Madden is trying to defend but Coleman finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Madden manages to get to full guard.
Coleman landing with the ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Coleman wants to pass the guard but Madden is keeping the position.
Coleman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Coleman trying to control but Madden is working from the bottom.

Madden is looking to stand up but Coleman isn't so interested in that idea.
Coleman trying to move into half guard but instead Madden has managed to sweep!

Coleman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Madden doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Madden manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Coleman working a defensive guard but Madden passes into half guard.

Madden is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Coleman has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Madden wants to control but Coleman is keeping him busy.

Coleman is doing well to control the position and prevent Madden from advancing to side control.
Coleman is trying to get back to full guard.
Madden wants to take a breather but Coleman is having none of it.
Coleman wants to get back to his feet.
Madden is pressing down on Coleman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Coleman is holding on for now.
Coleman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Madden wants to pass the guard but Coleman is defending well.
Madden trying to control from half guard but Coleman is working away.
Coleman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Reid Madden has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coleman.
Madden tries to clinch up but Coleman circles away and keeps his distance.
Madden circles away from the clinch attempt.
Madden throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Madden gets caught flat footed, as Coleman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Coleman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Madden swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Coleman looking to sit in guard and control but Madden gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Coleman looks winded!
Madden controls from within his opponent's guard.
Madden is looking to stand up but Coleman won't let him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Madden wants to stand and escape but instead Coleman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronnie Coleman dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Reid Madden's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Madden shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Coleman sprawls well. Coleman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Madden gets slowly back to his feet.
Madden swats away the attempt to clinch by Coleman.

Coleman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Madden to the ground. Coleman is now in Madden's guard.
Coleman won't allow Madden to sweep him here.
Madden is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ronnie Coleman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Madden looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Coleman trying to control from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleman tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Madden has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Madden cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Coleman can't escape the position.
Madden raining down shots from the mount!
Madden scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Madden connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Coleman reaches up to try and pull Madden in and control his posture, but Madden latches on to an arm and pivots quickly for an armbar! Coleman taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Reid Madden!
Ronnie Coleman spoke after the fight, saying 'You ain't nuthin' but a peanut'.
