Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zachary Hooper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Hero! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hooper clinches. Hooper manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hooper on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hooper tries to get out of the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Hooper working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hero. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hero wants to stand but Hooper is controlling his posture from full guard. Hero working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hero is fighting to break Hooper's control of his arms but Hooper is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hero with a flurry of punches that miss. Hooper throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hooper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hooper is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hooper lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Hero has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Finch Farm. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hero in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hooper is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Hooper is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hooper has his hands on Hero's head, controlling the position. Hooper has a closed guard, preventing Hero from standing up. Hooper throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hooper is on top in guard.
Hooper pushes down on Hero's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hero actively working from the bottom here. Hooper trying to control from half guard but Hero is working away. Hero is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hooper pulls his head out easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hero is trying to stand back up but Hooper is controlling him
Hooper maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hero could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hooper has cracked it and Hero is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hooper!
