Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between K O (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elija McIntosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, K O!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elija McIntosh!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McIntosh drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

McIntosh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McIntosh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
O keeping moving, preventing McIntosh from controlling successfully.

McIntosh stands up from O's guard - McIntosh perhaps looking for a knockout.

O fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McIntosh sprawls well initially but O persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
McIntosh wants to control but O is keeping busy.
McIntosh gets full guard.
O slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
McIntosh looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
O wants to control from the top but McIntosh keeps moving.
O passes McIntosh's left leg - he's now in half guard.
O is keen to just control but McIntosh is a slippery customer.
O keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
O prevents McIntosh from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
O is pressing down on McIntosh's thigh, looking to free his foot. McIntosh is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
O tries to stand but can't do so whilst McIntosh controls his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
O trying to control from half guard but McIntosh is working away.
O trying to advance position but McIntosh counters by regaining guard.
McIntosh wants to get back to his feet but O is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McIntosh fails in his attempt to clinch.
McIntosh fails with the takedown

and O counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
McIntosh doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
O drops back looking for a leg! McIntosh is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McIntosh manages to kick O off! O jumps back into McIntosh's guard.
O is breathing heavily.
O won't allow McIntosh to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McIntosh keeping moving, preventing O from controlling successfully.
McIntosh trying to control the position.
McIntosh preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
McIntosh keeping full guard, as O tries to pass.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A punch combination from O misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
O shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McIntosh counters with a stiff right hand.
K O seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McIntosh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

McIntosh closes the distance and clinches.
O's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
McIntosh can't get the takedown.
McIntosh tries for a takedown. No joy.
K O has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elija McIntosh.
O is working for takedown but McIntosh is calmly controlling the position for now.
McIntosh goes for a takedown attempt but O pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

McIntosh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
McIntosh avoids the attempt from O to control.

McIntosh wants to finish this one by submission but O is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McIntosh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that K O will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


McIntosh fails with the takedown
and O counters with a nice leg kick.
O uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McIntosh.

O shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
K O overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
O looking to pass the guard.
McIntosh trying to control the position.
O makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
O pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McIntosh is keeping the position for now.
O working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McIntosh's head.
McIntosh looking for a sweep. Not yet McIntosh, not yet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McIntosh working for a triangle but O defends it easily.
O trying to control the position from guard on top but McIntosh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
O working some strikes from top position.
O wants to control from the top but McIntosh keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
O scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
McIntosh looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
McIntosh is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

O drives through with a takedown into guard.
McIntosh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in O's guard.
O striking off his back but it's not causing McIntosh any problems.
McIntosh lands a couple of decent looking shots.
O doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
O working a defensive guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
O looking to hit a scissor sweep but McIntosh is one step ahead there.
McIntosh trying to control the position from guard on top but O is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
O wants to stand but McIntosh is controlling the position.
O wants to hit a switch here but McIntosh passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for O there!
McIntosh tries to control but O wriggling away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McIntosh dominating with strikes here.
O is squirming around, avoiding McIntosh's attempts to control the action.
O sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
McIntosh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but O does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
O slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McIntosh passes O's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

K O dominated that second round.
That's time! O's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


McIntosh misses with a takedown attempt

so O counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
O stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McIntosh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McIntosh managing to control the position.
O wants to control from the top but McIntosh keeps moving.
O postures up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
O sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McIntosh's guard.
McIntosh has hold of O's hands but O slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
O not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McIntosh wants to control but O is keeping busy.
O is trying to control the action in half guard but McIntosh is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
O thows a huge punch but McIntosh dodges it nicely.
O prevents McIntosh from improving his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by O.
O tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ground and pound from O seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
McIntosh throws a couple of elbows from the bottom.
O is looking to take a break and control but McIntosh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
O working away.
O in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

O stands up and beckons McIntosh to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McIntosh misses with a head kick.
McIntosh gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and O counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
O is nestled in close to McIntosh, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
O prevents McIntosh from standing back up.
O not landing any meaningful shots this time.
O is trying to control the action in half guard but McIntosh is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
McIntosh is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of O's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take O's back!
McIntosh is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at O. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
O staying busy and making it hard for McIntosh to control.
McIntosh is trying to stick to O's back but O is turning into McIntosh. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in McIntosh's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by O.

McIntosh looking to control.
O looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
McIntosh trying to keep a closed guard but O is proving a slippery customer.
McIntosh keeping moving, preventing O from controlling successfully.
McIntosh looking to hit a scissor sweep but O is one step ahead there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
McIntosh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around O's waist but O gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McIntosh off to one side.

And that's the end of the fight!
K O showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for O, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
