Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burner Dubben (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Burner Dubben enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Little!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Burner Dubben!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Little throws a sloppy head kick and Dubben moves out of range easily.

Dubben shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dubben showed some decent athleticism there.
Little is staying active underneath Dubben, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Little tries to roll over but Dubben keeps him under control.
Little is working hard here to advance position.
Little gets full guard.

Little looking for a guillotine here but Dubben defends easily.

Little working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dubben doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dubben manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dubben wants to control from the top but Little keeps moving.

Dubben really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Little. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Little is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Little is looking for a kimura but Dubben is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Little to get the leverage.

Dubben is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Little pulls his head out easily.

Little seems to be working for a kimura but Dubben defends the submission attempt.

Little thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Little drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Little jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Dubben looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Little is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Little is working for a kimura but Dubben is defending it quite comfortably.

Little looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Dubben shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Little has his foot on Dubben's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dubben works his way back into a safe position though.

Dubben wants to hit a switch here but Little passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dubben there!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dubben tries to hold on but Little postures up.

Little is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dubben has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Little working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Dubben looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Little! Submission of the night perhaps?
